| We thought about a dry country
without rivers, lakes, not a lot of trees, flat like a pan.... and
always hot, when we heard about Texas. Wrong!! There are a lot of nice
big lakes, there are rivers, there is a hundreds of miles long ocean
front.. and there is (some kind of) winter! |

| Today we went to Lake Travis
for the first time. That lake is about 30 minutes from our house. It is
a huge lake with many parks where we could access the waterfront. There
are also 'beaches', boat slips and even a scuba diving entrance..... |

... but i was to cold to even
think about watersports! |

| But even during the winter
time... you can find exotic flowers and cactuses in the area. |
